Over 100 Crafters, Vendors Featured Saturday At Shepard Craft Show

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — One of the biggest spring arts and craft shows kicks off from Saturday, April 22, at Alan B. Shepard High School, 13049 S. Ridgeland Ave., Palos Heights. The spring craft show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $2.

Hosted by the Shepard Band Boosters, over 100 crafters and vendors will be displaying their wares in the gymnasium and cafeteria. Attendees are asked to enter the building through the rear door at Entrance 12. Parking is plentiful.

Crafters for this year include the students from the CHSD 218 adult transition program, as well as several returning crafters and new crafters. Expect to find crystals, magnetic jewelry, floral and wreaths, fleece blankets, table runners and place mats, wood items, food craters, T-shirts, goose clothes, gnomes, author handcrafted rugs, rosaries, crochet, rocks and so much more.

Expect to find crystals, wood, wreathes, fleece, crochet, jewelry, pottery and handmade rugs, and more. Popular direct sale vendors including Avon, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Real Time Pain and Tastefully Simple.

Long-time organizer and Shepard paraprofessional Kathy Lachowicz said the spring craft show is getting back to full steam after the pandemic.

“A lot of our regular crafters retired during COVID, when things were not available, but a lot of them are still around,” Lachowicz said. “I try to follow crafters at several shows, but it has been tough this year.”

Proceeds from the show will go toward supporting Shepard's band program.
